Welcome to Function & Rhythm

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here!

Dance has always been a part of my life, not just as a way to move but as a way to feel whole. The rhythm of music, the flow of movement and the joy of expression have all been a source of grounding and healing for me. When I became an occupational therapist, I realized that dance is not only an art form or exercise; it can also be a powerful tool for wellness and everyday function.

That’s why I started Function & Rhythm: to share the beautiful overlap between occupational therapy and dance. Movement can do so much more than strengthen muscles. It can calm the nervous system, sharpen focus, improve coordination and build confidence. And perhaps most importantly, it can spark joy.

My mission is to create spaces where people of all ages and abilities can experience the benefits of dance in ways that are meaningful to them. Whether it is helping a child build motor skills through playful movement, guiding an adult in reconnecting with their body after an injury or simply encouraging someone to rediscover the joy of dancing without judgment, this work is about honoring each person’s unique rhythm.

This blog is where I will share stories, ideas and resources for weaving dance into daily life as a path to wellness. My hope is that it feels like an invitation and a reminder that movement belongs to everyone.

So, welcome to Function & Rhythm. I look forward to moving, learning and growing together.
